Briony Kercheval is a registered psychologist, with full membership of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) . Briony’s work in the mental health field spans over 20 years and involves assessments and treatment plans, counselling (individuals and groups), research, policy writing and program development. Her experience covers working with both men and women across the lifespan, however the majority of her most recent work and research is in the field of women’s health, gender diversity and neurodivergence.

Approach

Using a warm, client-centred approach when working with her clients to improve their health and wellbeing. Briony works from a feminist perspective that honours the unique experience of all women. In the last decade of private practice, Briony has worked more and more with people of all ages who are gender diverse, transgender and neurodivergent.

Briony has worked in the diagnosis and treatment of many psychological presentations, including:

Briony’s research in the area of women’s mental health was recognised by the Australian Psychological Society at the completion of her Masters degree; she was awarded a prize for academic excellence.
